MAPPING OF SECTORAL RISKS IN THE TUNISIAN ECONOMY
Tunisia Q1-2023
Since 2011, Tunisia's economic growth has never returned to pre-revolution levels, fluctuating between 1 and 2% annually, despite the need for jobs. The 2008 financial crisis had already reduced growth to around 2%, and the 2020 pandemic exacerbated the situation with a contraction of -8.6%. Recent years have exposed vulnerabilities in the Tunisian economic model despite positive growth, and 2023 is expected to be challenging due to inflation and trade deficit-related challenges.
